Meet your Atlas trekking guide and muleteer, who will load your belongings on the back of the mules, and assist you in renting hiking gear should you need any.
Leaving Imlil Valley behind, you will start your expedition by hiking up to Tizi N Mzik pass (2489 m). The latter offers a panoramic view of the mountains surrounding the area and Azaden Valley. Enjoy a picnic lunch Inside the Jeneper Forest.
After some rest, continue along Azzaden Valley to Tamssoulte village (2250 m), where you will spend the night at a local hut. -
Day 2 : Toubkal Hut → Aguelzim Pass → Toubkal Hut
Our destination for today will be Toubkal refuge, which is located at the foothill of the Toubkal Mount.
We will first climb to Aguelzim Pass (3560 m) past Ighouliden waterfalls. After a picnic lunch with spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains, we continue to Toubkal Mountain Refuge, where we will be spending the night.
Please keep in mind that the accommodation there is very basic. However, it has the important things you may need.
During summertime and if Mount Toubkal weather permits, we usually opt for a camp at the refuge. Get a good night’s sleep, rest well, and get ready for tomorrow’s big day. -
Day 3 : Mt. Toubkal Summit → Imlil → Marrakech
Today is the day! You will face the eminent summit of the highest mountain in North Africa- Toubkal Mount. We will take advantage of an early morning start to climb the mountain; we would like to prevent the heated sunrays for as long as possible. As you might have predicted before, the routes up to the mountain are a bit challenging depending on the season.
When you get to Toubkal summit (4167m), you will feel yourself over the moon as you watch the most fabulous and magnificent views of the Atlas Mountains range and Berber villages from one side and the Sahara desert; on the other! The views from the summit will make any difficulties you faced on your way to the top worth it! We will spend some time meditating upon the breath-taking views of the Toubkal summit and then retracing our way back to Imlil past the Toubkal refuge, where you will take lunch.
